Welcome, Rhyan!

We’re thrilled to welcome Rhyan Paquereau to the LELT team as our Director of Stewardship. Rhyan joined LELT in June and has hit the ground running, spending time on our lands and trails, meeting LELT volunteers, and working with Jon and Harry. As Director of Stewardship, Rhyan oversees the management of LELT's conserved lands, working closely with his colleagues to ensure these lands are ecologically healthy, accessible to the community, and welcoming to all.

Rhyan holds a bachelor's degree in Parks & Forest Resources from Unity College and has spent much of his career working in conservation. Prior to joining LELT in 2026, he worked for Greater Lovell Land Trust, Kennebec Estuary Land Trust, and Maine Coast Heritage Trust. Having grown up in Maine, Rhyan is passionate about providing access to the outdoors for all people and believes that fostering strong relationships with the land is key to taking good care of it.

When the weather is warm, you can find Rhyan floating in his canoe or hiking in the mountains; when the leaves change color, you can find him hunting in the woods; and when the lakes are frozen, you can find him out ice fishing or trudging around on snowshoes.

Please give Rhyan a warm welcome when you see him out on the trail or at an event this summer! Rhyan can be reached via email at rhyan@lelt.org.
